Quick report

Stuck to north facing terrain where snow was still wintery and encountered no signs of instability on this aspect. Mostly wanted to share photos of large avalanches that occurred during our recent big rain event, which were widespread in the silver creek drainage. Photos are of crowns and debris from avalanches that occurred in steep east-facing chute off Kendall peak at head of silver creek drainage.

Avalanche

Most notable was debris from avalanches that likely occurred during the recent rain event. The big fin-shaped pile of debris pictured was probably 25-30’ tall. Snow was shedding from rocks and creating small loose wet slides on solar aspects and there was debris from recent loose wet.
