Snowpack
The snowpack in this area is still fairly shallow, and ground hazards are abundant. Most of this area was bare ground, or close to it, before the large storm over the weekend. I found very little to no evidence of weak facets or depth hoar at the ground, which aligns with the predominantly southerly slopes we traveled on. I dug a pit at 11,800' on a south-facing slope in a drifted feature and only found 80cm of snow, with a very thin stripe of facets at the bottom. The snowpack was fairly uniform and produced no results in snowpack tests.
