Quick report

The weak refreeze was sufficient to travel on snow on Angora Peak this morning. Shady aspects were quite firm during the morning and we appreciated our ski crampons. At higher elevations, we did experience some glopping just on our ski crampons, presumably from the trace of new snow on Sunday evening that is still going through the melt-freeze process. Descending on the SE side of Angora is a bit tricky as several lines do not have continuous snow (ask us how we know). The remaining snow was decently good corn around 9:30am. We experience fairly minor wet loose activity resulting from ski turns below about 7700'. Looking up at the Echo/Angora bowl the large cornice on Echo Peak continues to sag. Skiing down towards Fallen Leaf lake around 10:45am we found variable snow with quite a bit of corn in sunny areas.
