Quick report
Only signs of instabilities experienced were the observation of recent avalanches. Prevalence of a stout rain crust under new snow gave the impression of stability; however, snowpack tests showed unstable results in persistent weak layers. The weather was cold in the morning, turning very warm midday, sunny with minimal wind. Conditions felt like spring - variability of riding conditions was aspect dependent.
Avalanche
East aspects in the mojo cliffs, high markers bowl and north lake ribbons at 7600 to 7800 feet. South aspect frozen soldier at 7600 feet. Mojo cliffs naturally triggered, likely during the last storm cycle. North lake ribbons naturally triggered via cornice fall. Frozen soldier looked to be a skier triggered wet slide.
