Quick report
Plenty of rollerballs on southeast, south, and southwest aspects. A light crust seemed to be forming throughout the afternoon on various aspects. Several compression tests performed after digging some burly pits down to the EFC! Pit #1 dug at ~5600ft on a southeast aspect. EFC identified at 215cm. First column fractured at ~150cm after 3 shoulder taps. Second column fractured at the same layer after 9 shoulder taps. Pit #2 dug at ~5600ft on a southwest aspect. EFC identified at 200cm. Very marginal (at best) layer of sugary facets above the EFC. Several layers of crust are still visible in the snowpack as recent forecasts have identified. Two separate compression tests did not fail on any layer at/above the EFC.
Avalanche
Wet, loose slide observed off of the south face below Panorama Point, likely triggered mid-afternoon from the ridge above the slide.
