Quick report
Lower elevations in the Cascade Pass zone are looking pretty darn thin. Soldier Boy Creek is bare alder down at the road, for example. It's still easy to skin to Cascade Pass, but from the parking lot...not the normal cut-through. Snow coverage is much better for the elevation in the Park Creek and Bridge Creek river valleys than at similar elevations in Cascade Pass. Higher elevation terrain is still holding snow decently well, although comparing to other springs we're definitely thinner. Cornices are very large and sagging in some areas; we saw a few concerningly huge snow boogers on the ridgeline between Buckner and Booker. The Banded Glacier on Mt. Logan has quite a few sections of exposed blue ice; there is a passable way through on skier's right but it's thin snow cover on blue ice. Snow line in Thunder Creek ends pretty abruptly at 4,000'.
Avalanche
Large wet slides in river valleys, particularly Park Creek valley and Bridge Creek valley. Large crown lines observed on Spider Mountain's north face from afar, particularly on looker's left side near Arachnophobia.
