Quick report

Our avalanche course enjoyed beautiful views, low winds, and mild temperatures in the bowl today. Southern aspects up to 4600’ softened nicely, but northern aspects seemed much more icy. We witnessed a pair of long sliding falls that thankfully did not result in serious injury. In the bowl, we could hear gushing water coming from the Headwall. A small hole in the Lip area appeared to have been undermined by water. The deep avalanche debris in the bowl, along with the still-covered Sherburne Trail, should set us up nicely for this coming Nor’easter.
