Wind deposits on top of hard frozen crust, slide for life.

Crampons and axe worked well for the conditions. Beware of large wet slide debris near the bottom of the chute leading out to the apron. The lower apron was a hard frozen crust with about 1" of new accumulation on top.

Snowpack

Cold blower wind deposits, with a hard frozen crust underneath. The skiers right side of the chute had about 6" of wind deposited snow, with small pockets that seemed deeper. Small cornice on top of the chute, cleared most of it with no problem , mild and manageable sloughing on the descent.
