Quick report

Today was like an unexpected April pow day…very low expectations but we still had some fun turns. The slide on Dorothy’s may have already been reported but it was likely a wet slab that broke free during the warm up of last week. It was in the skiers right bowl and the debris pile was much larger than expected. We could see a crown in the top of the bowl, and I would say the size was D 2.5-3. We didn’t dig a pit as everything was pretty much locked up, and we skied slopes above 35 degrees with some slough to manage. Despite the winds on the front of WMR, we experienced minimal wind or wind affected snow throughout our tour. Probably 4-5” of new snow on top of the crust at most elevations.
