-
Swirling winds overnight and this morning have loaded much of the SE through SW slopes. Seemed like every inch of the terrain in GriZly gulch was wind effected. Gullies were cross loaded and new cornices had formed overhanging the South slope. As we stepped down the ridge to the saddle , one in our part broke off about 8-10 inch slab that slid about 10 feet above a small pocket of trees. Manageable, somewhat expected, yet very eye opening.

If / when the sun comes out today, I expects steep south faces to show some movement. Theres a foot or more of new, wind affected snow on top of last weeks nasty crust. Keep your heads up!
