- <p>The storm totals for this area are around 2' of low density snow with a little wind affected snow along upper ridge lines. We experienced a few collapses moving through the lower elevation terrain where lots of vegetation is still poking through the snow.</p>
The snow pack structure in this area on south facing terrain around 8,500' is an early season mix of heat crusts with some faceted snow mixed in, but there was no real slab. Felt like a moderate hazard for this type of terrain and at this elevation.

- <p>The new snow was settling quickly on south facing slopes and we noticed lots of settlement cones around the trees. With some direct sun today the surface snow was taking on some heat and starting to form some soft slab conditions, but generally the new snow was not too reactive. </p>
Spent the day traveling around on different south facing terrain and found deep low density snow which made for a good physical work out.
