Quick report

My partner and I were attempting to descend from the snowfields into Tucks. With the snowpack looking pretty low on all of the right descent options, we decided to attempt a traverse across the central head wall area with the intention of descending either Chute or Central gully's. While traversing on my snowboard, I was unable to maintain a heading that was high enough to avoid icy sections nearer the lip. While traversing heal side above cliff bands lookers right of central gully, I struck some bulletproof ice causing my board to kick out and the fall the begin. Unfortunately was not able to self arrest with my mountaineering axe that was in hand prior to hitting the first cliff band. Slide continued over the next few cliff bands and came to rest around 1/3 of the way up the gully from the base of the ravine. Hoping folks can learn from the mistakes and be aware of the tough conditions present at the top of the lip. Feel free to reach out with questions or clarification. Thanks MWAC for the quick follow up! (see description of route)
