Dust on crust/ Slide-for-Life conditions on southern aspects. Northern aspects are better but supportable crust still exists. We found that there was not quite enough new snow to be concerned about sluff management even on the steepest slopes. Spring snow flurries persisted throughout the day with short bouts of sunshine. widespread loose-wet debris from the previous warming period on multiple aspects at mid-elevations. All of Skooks Chutes cycled during the previous weeks warm spell. Debris covers the upper road getting out of Canyon Creek and goes all the way down to the road. Some of the wet-loose slides came down through unusual places in the trees serving as a reminder how unpredictable avalanches can be.
