Quick report

I probed snow depth and got boot penetration in 2 places. N Aspect 10200 feet depth was 285cm and boot pen was 20cm SE Aspect 7800 Feet depth was 90cm and boot pend was 30cm. The notable difference was the Melt Forms were much thicker at the lower elevation site. While at 10200 feet the Melt Forms were only 5cm thick. See photo. The snow surface was supportable for the machine off trail with limited ski and track penetration. Everything I saw today was rollerballs or pinwheels from previous days.

Almost clear skies and very warm today. No need to take out a thermometer to know it was above freezing.

Snowpack

Our snowpack is suffering. The rain event and warm temperatures led to intensely variable coverage that is less than what it was before the storm ending around the 20th.
