- Collapsing, Poor Snowpack Structure
Dug a pit on the a northerly aspect of Patsey Marley down the west side of the ridge at 10200 and 30 degrees. Structure of the snow pack at the base was as expected, horrible, but produced no results. While filling in the pit experienced a large "whoompf" on the entire slope. Decided to ski the south facing microwave. The powder is starting to settle on these southerly aspects but conditions still produced great riding conditions.
