Snowpack
could not find enough snow to dig a pit,(much less Ski or use snow shoes) on the Weat side of the peak. Foot prints revealed a sun/wind crust, covering a rotten TG granulated layer. the snow pack was generally ankel deep or less, with a few Knee deep areas. I would rate the west side of Pikes as low with pockets of considerable at all elevations.
