Quick report
Dug a quick test pit at 46.91637, -121.48963 5600' on a small NW aspect test slope. 140cm of snow above solstice crust, right side up, fist to pencil. no meaningful results in ct or ect, just resistant planar compression of the unconsolidated storm snow. The snow was dry enough and loose enough to make a wobbly column when cut, and when applying pressure with a shovel to the column after the tests were complete, we consistently got very easy, very clean planar separation on the firmer pencil hard slab on an interface just above the solstice crust. ~130 cm down, but it was very consistent. Maybe a future problem. Skiing was fantastic. Snow was heavy at times but visibility continued to blow in. The skiing was good. Other people reported the old natural on Joes BA shoulder, and we saw a recent crown on the steep slopes across henskin lake as well. All 3 avalanches were close to rocks, just below the crest, in steep terrain. Strong encouragement to enjoy the excellent snow in mellow low angle treed terrain

upside down v on the terminal face of the lizards back. natural, no tracks no bomb hole. Seemed like it was very fresh, probably Friday. Appeared to be to the solstice crust. Storm slab. We didn't see any active movement or see any snow move under our feet.
