Quick report

Cracking
isolated

HN varied from 3" to 2' with elevation, wind affect, and openness of the canopy. Most new snow was unconsolidated and did not seem to have any energy to slide. Some wind affected snow up high was denser and did have a slab structure but we did not experience wixespread cracking The sun's effect was very noticable by mid to late day. Trees were dripping and any slope with a slight aspect to th south had a zipper crust by the end of the day. Two quick hand shears revealed no slab structure and no notable weak interface WX was very sunny, cold in the shade, and no wind on the w slope we were on. Ridge top winds were cold and low.

Avalanche

In the s facing summit bowl of rock. Natural avalanches. One was in a shaded pocket and seemed to have released with cornice. D1.5, dry loose. Other was on a sunny ridge and looked to be a wind pocket, D1 slab avalanche
