We toured Incline this afternoon from around 12 - 3:30pm sticking to low angle terrain. One party had gone up before us, but their skin track was already completely blown in until we got into the trees and out of the wind. There were gale force winds and blowing throughout, with the snow trending colder. Once in the NE trees, we found 4 - 5 inches of dense snow on top of the crust from the rain the last two days, which skied very nicely. We didn't see any obvious signs of instability other than isolated cracking when walking above the skin track. For our last lap, we followed the skiers left ridge toward the summer trail to see how the snow was out of the trees. We saw several overhanging cornices while skinning along the ridge, some of which looked to have broken over the last few days. The open NE terrain we skied was noticeably wind loaded with denser snow until we were well below the ridge.
