Quick report
Observed 5-7cm of recent windblown snow that was not well adhered to the layer bellow. Dug a pit on the wind-loaded leeward side of Pea Gravel bowl at treeline, approximately 6000'. Found multiple firm layers of (from top excluding the loose windblown snow ) 15cm, 25cm, 5cm and 30cm of thickness. Performed a DTT tap test on a 100cm column and had no movement from any of the layers. However the entire column was to easy pull off shearing at approximately 90cm, (at the bottom of the last 30cm layer.) Decent stability for today but additional snow on the wind-loaded areas would be a concern with the lack of adhesion.
