Quick report
There was about 1" of new snow at the tree line gradually deepening to 6-8"by the summit. It was overlying granular spring-like snow below 5800 feet and many feet of much harder ice above. The new snow showed no signs of instability even when traversed by skiers. There were some small roller balls below exposed rocks between 4500 and 5500' in the late afternoon.
