Quick report
- No recent avalanches or signs of instability today, except a small sluff in steep terrain due to cornice chunk on an Easterly slope. - Decent visibility at times allowed us to view surrounding steep N, E, and S slopes. - Mix of S1/S2 (majority of the day), gusts of strong wind, and sunshine. Old man winter wasn’t ready to give up. - Approx 5”, low density snow fell through the day at mid/upper elevations. - Ample snow was being transported via wind. - We traveled conservatively.
