Quick report

Skied Crystal Saturday Morning - snow conditions were a bit dicey at lower elevations and south facing areas, but we found better conditions at higher elevations and on north facing aspects. Dug a pit on a north aspect at approx. 6000' and found approximately 20 cm of lighter, unconsolidated snow sitting on a firm crust. Below the crust, the snow pack was consolidated and we did not found find any signs of buried surface hoar or the persistent week layer.
