Avoided ridge tops and obviously wind loaded terrain, cornices are large. We still encountered small areas of wind loading on specific terrain features. Low angle wind slabs cracked as we toured through them and ski cuts below rocks where loading occurred produced small, soft avalanches only a few inches thick. Slough was minimal in steeper terrain, while face shots were abundant. Perfect snow!
