Snow totals in this area seemed less than up at the pass, with the JDL about 55cm down at 4300’. Weather was broken skies, intermittent snow with no real accumulation, and no wind. We experienced 3 whumpfs in a row on sheltered terrain in the basin beneath Arrowhead peak. We dug a pit above the Weyerhaeuser trees/clear cuts. We found surface hoar a few cms above the JDL, but test results were all on small facets just above the JDL. Pic is attached. Test results; CT13 SC, 52cm down ECTP11, 52cm PSTEND 31/100, 52cm down I have videos of the tests, but it doesn’t look like I can submit them.
