Quick report

Toured up to pineapple pass and then over to the snow/source lake divide for some early season reconnaissance. (Very) Early season travel conditions meant that it was easiest to get in and out via the summer time snow lake trail. Depth of snow varies from less than 30cm in places at 3000ft to 100-130cm at 4000ft and over 200cm at 5000ft. There was some sun crusting on solar aspects. North facing slopes skied great. I did not observe any signs of recent avalanches though there was evidence of sloughing/icefall at the base of some cliffs. Neither source lake nor snow lake is fully frozen over for anyone who was wondering.
