Quick report
Despite the weather stations reporting just barely freezing temps at Hyndman or above freezing on upper Titus, we observed a supportable freeze on our climb up the SW face of Cobb. It was breaking down on our ski descent after 1200 in the middle and lower elevations, but still supportable. We didn't observe any avalanche problems while in the field. A wet loose released in the Comma couloir yesterday about 11,200' on a SW-W wall and dumped about D1.5 worth of debris. Two older crowns were on the SW face that were previously recorded in the database from 3/12. We didn't see any other fresh crowns.

The sky cover was broken in the AM. A small cell went straight over us around 1100 but didn't produce any significant snow or wind. We didn't feel or see any rain. The sun continued to poke through clouds before our exit at 1500.
Snowpack
South-facing slopes were properly baked in below ~10,000'. It became transitional above that with breakable crust and facets to the ground on a SW face near the Comma couloir. North-facing slopes were chalky powder mixed with wind-affect. The north couloir was fatter than in previous years. There were good-looking tracks on a due north slope above 9300' in 40*+ terrain from the last few days.
