Quick report
Many large natural avalanches released on Jan 9th and 10th. Although I saw over 20 large slides, the mediocre to poor visibility probably allowed viewing only a fraction of the avalanches that released during the recent storm.

Before 11 AM: Clear to partly cloudy skies Hailey to Eagle Ck, low clouds partially obscuring a lot of terrain Eagle Ck to Smiley Ck, obscured north of Smiley Ck. From noon on: Mostly obscured until south of SNRA Headquarters.

Visibility was fair to good in the Boulder and southern Smoky Mtns, mediocre and fleeting in the central Smoky Mtns, and mostly non-existent in the northern Smoky, Sawtooth, and White Cloud Mtns. There are undoubtedly many more natural avalanches than what I was able to observe.
