The goal of today's tour was to assess stability after new snow and strong winds earlier in the week, and document avalanches that likely occurred on Tue/Wednesday. Today was calm, with no red flags or recent avalanches observed. More avalanches from earlier in the week were seen on the SE aspect of Skyscraper, WSW aspect of Hatcher Pass proper, a few slabs up in the Far Side/Pinnacle Basin, Nose Hairs, and several off of Arkose Ridge between Arkose 1 and Arkose 2 paths. The common denominator between all the persistent slabs we have observed thus far was old firm faceted bed surfaces prior to the 10-12" of new snow that landed March 12-16th on paths that previously slid during the late Jan cycle. 

We found a 4F hard wind slab at and just below ridgelines that formed on the 18th. It was unreactive and well bonded on leeward aspects at 4200'. We did not have any propagation in our pit, but need to acquire more data to convince ourselves that the persistent slab problem is trending unreactive and/or more isolated in nature. 

No cracking, collapsing or recent avalanches were observed today. All the avalanches we saw today likely occurred on Tuesday or Wednesday. We did not observe any wet loose due to cooler temperatures, and dry loose sluffs were small and manageable.
