Quick report
The surface snow below 3000' was wet and sticky with above freezing temps penetrating into the top 2 feet of the snowpack. Despite the warm temps, ski penetration was only 2 inches and foot penetration was 6 inches. Above 3000', the surface snow moved to moist and became dry-moist above 4000'.
Pit results at 3800'/NE/25° slope produced- ECTN25 down 13 cms and PST END (45/100) down 80 cms 20250404. See partial profile below for more details
At the 4/4 interface facets were not identified, large meltforms existed. Propagation in PST was present showing that the April slab continues to show potential bonding issues, possibly due to a change in grain size.
