Quick report
The last day of March was a beautiful day to be in the mountains. The wet loose problem we anticipated did not materialize in a meaningfull way, at least not in this location. Soft wet snow over the crust seemed resistant to sloughing and failed to entrain, even when I tried to push snow down steep slopes. The stout supportable crust is bridging any underlying weak layers.
Weather
Partly sunny with intermittent high clouds. Temp at noon was 1.2 C with light winds out of the south.
Snowpack
5 to 15cm soft wet snow over a 15cm pencil hard crust that is bridging any instabilities that linger below. Pencil and one finger layers over weak four finger layer deeper in the snowpack. Snowpack is moise to wet throughout.

Large wet loose avalanche off the north side of the Stevens/Willow Ridge, likley caused by cornice fall during warm up over past few days.
