Quick report

Red Flags
Wind Loading, Poor Snowpack Structure

Significant wind loading on N, NE, E slopes, but stable. Punching with pole test in the snow en route at 8,000 and 9,000 feet had about 4" surface with a 6-8" sugary weak layer before hitting a hard slab layer again that is consolidated and hard to push through with the pole. 10,000 ft. east facing, south facing had 2-4" breakable crust poorly bonded over weak layer with signs of windloading. Noted significant windgusts around noon.
