Quick report
Freezing wind in parking but after rounding the first bend on the road up was calm and protected. Mostly sunny beautiful day, slight breeze at summit. Thin crust increasing to 1/8" thick at summit from freezing rain the day before. 30"+ deep pow below from last 24-48 hrs. No signs of avalanche or instability along skin track up or near summit. Lots of textured snow from wind scour and deposits approaching and through notch from west wind. Skied (skidded) halfway down north slope from notch and returned via same route as upward travel. Hard and fast, no worry of getting caught in the flats. Deep pow seems very encased by ice crust. Several large avalanches sighted across on west slope of Three Finger Jack (background in last photo).
