- <p>New snow forming a soft slab that is failing on the PWL. The facets are large, giving the appearance of kosher salt. Trail breaking was moderate to difficult in places. </p> <p>NW slope, 8300', 25 degrees. Hand pit failing with easy pull on the PWL (See video).</p>
Hollow with a weak snowpack structure. Experienced shooting cracks and whoomfing on the uptrack in the trees on convexing slopes.
