Quick report

Human triggered avalanche at 3500 feet on NW aspect. 30-35 degree slope. Verted up west aspect, skied NE aspect. Wind slab cut at the top above chutes and propagated about 200 feet wide. 5 inches new snow on top of old sun crust. Facets under crust to the ground. No signs of instability prior to avalanche. Warm sunny day. Temp high 30s, light to no wind. Snowboarder self arrested after carried 10 feet at top of chutes.

A lot of wet loose on all aspects after 4pm. The snowboarder triggered slide was likely wind slab from the recent storm on top of facets. Digging revealed new snow about 5 inches on sun crust on top of facets to the ground. Slope angle was 30-35 degrees. No activity on low angle slopes which we rode sleds and skied most of the day.
