Toured up into wedding bowl on 12/16 and on 12/18. 12/16- Dug a quick pit to the ground about a 1/3 of the way up the wedding bowl skin track. Snow pack depth is 120cm. About 60cm of fist hard new snow transitioning to 4 finger hardness on top of a thin ice layer with fist hard facets underneath for about 10cm. Below that is knife hard/ 1F icy snow to ground. No depth hoar found. 12/18- same setup as 12/16 but about 2/3 of the way up the skin track the soft pow gave way to hard windslab. It collapsed and cracked underfoot but we saw no propagation. We observed wind ripping snow off the top of Ben Stuart and loading into Copley
