Quick report
We dig a pit on the E aspect of Beehive, shallow depth (65cm) with a 10cm fist hard slab on top of a thin 1-2mm ice crust at the top of the pit. Below this was a 50cm cohesive slab that went from 4 finger to one finger hard, sitting on 5cm large grained facets which were remarkably consolidated. ECT-X, we skied 30-32° short lines on surprisingly good snow, basically dust on crust. Distinct change in snow quality at ~ 8000, very poor below tha elevation. None observed
