Toured from WMR to Beaver Pond and Kona. We planned our route to avoid areas which could have a thinner snowpack and those areas that have steeper rollovers. We felt comfortable working our way onto slopes >35'. We observed slight stuffing on the steepest slopes we rode. I conducted several informal stability tests including many hand pits and several "aggressive jumping on small test slopes" tests. We observed no obvious signs of instability. Weather and snowpack both matched forecasts. I would rate the stability in the zone we skied as "very good". Winds were calm with slight breeze from the NNE building near ridge lines around mid day. The clouds rolled in, and very light snow began to fall as we departed WMR around 3:00.
