Quick report

Light winds with no drifting snow or wind slab formation. Temps were between -6 and -1C throughout the day. OVC skies with light intermittent snowfall. In standard Upper WF Range fashion, exit had moderately deep frozen moose tracks intermixed with alder and refrozen snowmobile tracks. Found stable conditions on all aspects. No signs of cracking or collapsing. Traveled on slopes up to 35 degrees.

Intermittent snow showers with OVC skies shifting to BRK by the end of the tour. Temps stayed below freezing throughout the day. Light winds at Below and Near Treeline locations.

Snowpack

SE-SW slopes NTL had a crust that was mostly supportable. 2-3cm new snow overnight bonded well to the crust. Northerly aspects were still holding cold dry snow that made for pleasant turns.

Avalanche

Multiple D1 loose wet avalanches on steep SE aspects connected to cliff bands from mid-week.
