Quick report
Overcast day with calm conditions, no wind and periods of sun cover. Steep slopes haven't moved since last observation on Friday and the neighboring Crystal Creek drainage as well as Cascadilla Creek have seen some traffic over the weekend. Despite this, no sign of new crowns or instability to note. Many sluff piles on steeps. The snow has gotten heavier and warmer as these past few days of sunny skies and warm temps have had there way on the mountains. Whereas 2 days ago the snow was more akin to cold smoke, today it was closer to the cascade concrete I grew up with.

A day of good visibility with a cloud ceiling above Nyack mountain, periods of sun in the afternoon that caused some warming but nothing that would cause us to change our travel plans.
Snowpack
We dug a pit at 6200 feet, but not to the base of the snowpack. The first 1.5 feet is still soft unconsiladated snow that causes slow but heavy sluff debris. Underneath lies a hard crust that leads to more structure. Northern aspects should be holding snow well, getting the probe out showed that the snowpack is above 230cm in this North aspect.
