Went looking for some sheltered snow on EQ dome. The S facing approach was wind scoured with little ski penetration on the climb. Evidence of wind loading was present throughout the tour, but especially notable on the ridge line. Some of the lines had fairly large cornices, and the largest cornice collapsed with a crown probably 6 to 8 feet tall by 10 to 15 ft long of firm wind compacted snow. I think the party in front of us got it to go by stomping on it. Otherwise skiing was enjoyable and stability was good.
