Quick report
We toured into Hillman's this morning around 8:30 AM, when winds felt quite calm in the low-mid reaches of the gully. Below the choke we observed a uniform layer of about 5-6 inches of mid density powder on top of a pencil hard crust. The crust was somewhat slick, and crampons provided sound footing while ascending. There was no wind effect or slab characteristic to the new snow, with very little sluffing while skiing the "loud powder." The snow above the choke (our high point) developed a slightly more cohesive slab characteristic, though we did not experience or see any signs of instability. Visibility above this point was relatively poor.
