Quick report

Snow is pretty variable right now. Observed some large surface hoar in places on eastern facing slopes on the way up. North facing slopes ~7800 feet had soft snow interspersed with short sections of breakable crust. SE facing slopes from 7200' to 7600' were sunbaked, with a inch thick breakable sun crust on top of soft snow underneath. Some wind sheltered areas had short sections of soft snow which would lure you in before you hit breakable crust. Strange conditions at the moment made for some challenging skiing.

No indication of recent avalanche activity, though there were a lot of roller balls and other indications of warming from previous days on the steep banks of Cutler Creek.
