Quick report
Despite the warm temperatures at lower elevations the previous evening, fresh snow was present starting from the trailhead, though was less accumulation than higher elevations. The lower Maverick skin track is finally starting to fill in and all the creeks had snow bridges.
Snowpack
A pit on an east aspect at 8750' provided the following information: Height of snow was 195cm and an ECT produced ECTN12 at 170cm on a graupel layer. At 160cm there was a density change from 4F to 1F at the old snow/new snow interface. The Christmas crust was observed from 125-115cm.
