Quick report
We dug to the ground on a S/SE aspect at the top of Elly to (a) see how the weekend's snow was settling, (b) look for crusts, and (c) inspect the bottom of the snowpack. It was solid and confidence inspiring, with increasing hardness from top to bottom excluding a few inches of very well-bonded basal facets. EXTX and no obvious weak layers to test with a saw. No instability noted. Lots of wind-effect out of the West but we stayed away from suspect terrain and did not encounter any wind slabs.
