Strong NW winds scoured the west shoulder down to the rocks and overloaded this NE facing slope triggering the avalanche. It likely ran sometime in the early morning hours of the 22nd. A known PWL exists at this aspect and elevation and, judging by the depth, this was the likely failure plane.
