We did a tour on Tamarack, contouring on low angle terrain to the drainages below hourglass. We could feel an upside-down heavy layer on a lighter layer just about everywhere, and everything on a very hollow-feeling layer next to the ground. Snow depth was 12"-24", moderate W wind. Lots of whumpfing, cracking, and collapses while skinning. Someone had skied hourglass, we stayed on lower angle terrain which skied nicely and seemed supportable.
