Quick report
I observed a stable snowpack with the recent new snow (8 cm) cooking into south facing slopes. I wouldn't call it true corn yet in the lower and middle elevations, but it will get there by Saturday and definitely by Sunday. North facing slopes had a supportable crust with 8 cm of snow on top of the rough crust.

I probed on a SE facing slope at 8150' which had a snowpack of mostly firm crust and 60-70cm deep. I dug on a north facing slope that was 160 cm deep. See photo for details on crusts. Water previously percolated down past the dust layer which now has an ice lenses on either side of it. The water doesn't appear to have made it down to the 3/12 layer (down about 40 cm). I couldn't get any layers to propagate or even initiate in an Extended Column Test.
