Snowpack
Snowpack in this area has old wind effect. It is well-bonded and becomes more dense and stronger deeper into the snowpack. See profile. Old rain crust is still evident about 60 cm down, but well bonded layers above and below. We were surprised to get a moderate CT result in the upper 15 cm of snow. Looks like old deomposed precipitation particles with wind-blown and warm temp rounding, and now faceting? Looks like it is continuing to weaken by the suspected test result.
