South and southeast aspects saw a lot of solar effect from the sun and warm temperatures in the ravine today. The snow surface was observed to have a lot of moisture in it and with rapidly dropping temperatures and increasing wind speeds expect that this surface will quickly freeze and become a hard and slick surface.
Hazards to be looking out for tomorrow will be long sliding falls, especially in aspects that saw a lot of sun and warming today.

Temperatures were warm in the ravine with light western winds observed
Snowpack
Warm temperatures in the ravine promoted bonding and the healing of thin weak layers in the snow pack. The snow was already trending towards stability as the near crust facets observed yesterday were found to be rounding facets and additional warming has added to this. South and southeast aspects saw a lot of sun and solar effect in today’s warm temperatures. Snow was observed to have a lot of moisture in the surface and it made for fun and stable skiing today.
This evening, temperatures are quickly dropping and western winds will be building speed. The surface snow that was solar effected will quickly freeze and become a hard and slick surface. A hazard for tomorrow will be long sliding falls as temperatures will stay low with overcast skies limiting any warmth from the sun.
